Gregory Casillas has assumed the role of Executive Director, moving from an active board member and volunteer.
Greg is a respected leader in the community of New Braunfels and San Antonio. He has continuously accepted roles and responsibilities to serve the community. He has identified, cultivated and maintained strategic relationships with community-based organizations, government agencies, schools and universities in order to improve outcomes for those reliant on service-based organizations. Greg strives not only to maintain the current success of the New Braunfels Angels, but advance its services and programming to the youth, young adults and families served by the organization. Greg’s strong communication skills are seen in every corner of the community. Well respected for having direct, honest, supportive and knowledgeable interactions regarding foster care, and youth experiencing homelessness, he brings awareness to the barriers to care, the underserved and organizations supporting these vulnerable populations. Greg has a career of experience in hiring, development and retention, grant writing, financial literacy, budget adherence, and program development and adherence. These are the skills needed to engage more partners, obtain more volunteers, raise more money, and reach more lives. Greg and his husband John are dads to 2 great pyrenees, Mantequilla and Kevin, 9 cats, an opossum, an armadillo, and most recently a raccoon (Bandita) and Gray Fox, (Roxy). He is an avid Oklahoma Sooner, yoga instructor, cook, and adventurer. |
